What Accessories Can Do

As you wake up in the morning, the first thing you usually do is go to the bathroom to brush your teeth. Then, you take a bath and as the cold shower hits you, you become more awake and feel refreshed. After taking that refreshing shower, you look in the mirror, pick up your razor, apply cream, and then slowly and smoothly shave. So, you then walk back into the room, face your closet and choose a suit to wear for work this wonderful new day. Looking great in your gray charcoal suit, you pick up your briefcase and take one last look in the mirror before heading out the door. Suddenly, it hits you! You don't look any different today as you did yesterday...or any other working day for the past week, month, or year! It gets you to think, how do you reinvent your look? How can you do it when your work constantly requires you to be in a suit every day? The answer: Accessories!

In earlier days, accessories were mainly identified as something for women. All the glamour and glitter that comes with them are usually associated with women. Nowadays, this privilege not only works for the ladies, but for the gentlemen as well. For example, a good watch can make a difference on your whole look. Matching a watch with the metal on your belt or with your shoes is one of the most basic rules to follow when you want to show that you pay particular attention on what you wear. A ring or a bracelet can also be considered positively impactful to your look. Most of the time, gold or silver pieces are the easiest to match with your outfits. They can go well with any suit you have, providing you observe a few rules when accessorizing.

Cufflinks are also relatively easy to pair or match with your every day suits. Their being basic makes them important items of men's accessories that guys just cannot afford to be without. Like your trusty navy sports coat or a pair of pinstriped pants, cufflinks are so easy to match, even with colored outfits. Just make sure that you do not have different metals on with different colors at the same time. Doing so will give the impression of being uncoordinated and poorly made up.

The best kinds of cufflinks to have are the gold and silver types. They are known as the classic types, which are mainly characterized by flat geometric shapes, usually a circle or a square with a logo carefully engraved on its face. They are the most common types men want to invest in because they really can go with most anything. This is true mainly because even the most basic and most worn of your suits can have that rejuvenated and re-invented look with the addition of cufflinks. Some versions even have inlaid stones or precious gems which add an extra level of class and visual interest.

Keep in mind that there is no need to have a lot of cufflinks. Having two or three basic and classic pair (and possibly a novelty set of Football Cufflinks) would definitely suffice for most men...Besides, the more accessories a man has the longer it takes him to get ready in the morning...and most households already have one person that takes too much time getting ready (and it is usually not the man)!

Whether your interests are in silver, gold, artistic, sports, or other theme-related cufflinks we've got you covered. Cufflink Aficionado carries a broad range of men's cuff links designed to meet each connoisseur's individual style and interest. Our selection of cuff links are sure to top off that perfect look.
